Dr Israr Ahmed Biography
As we know that there are a lot of people who did a very good work in the Tafseer of Quran and give their best to spread the message of  the Quran. Dr ISrar Ahmed was one of them who gave their whole life to Allah. Today we will take a look at the biography of great Pakistani scholar Dr Israr Ahmed.

Early Life and Education

Israr Ahmad was born on 26 April 1932 in Hisar, India. His father worked for the British government  and later moved their family to Sahiwal, Pakistan. Dr Israr Ahmed went to Lahore in 1950 at King Edward Medical university after completing their school. He became a doctor in 1954 and then later in 1965 he also got the master's degree in Islamic studies from the Karachi university.

Dr Israr Ahmed About the Politics

Dr Israr Ahmed worked with the Muslims Students Federation for the Pakistan’s independence. After 1947 he joined the Islami Jamiyat-e-Talba and later jamaat-e-islami under the great scholar Abul Ala Maudidi. Dr Israr Ahmed left the party in 1957 because he did not agree with joining politics. His interest was about the Islam and in 1960 he moved to Karachi to study Islam at Karachi University.

Career of Dr Israr Ahmed

In 1956 Dr Israr Ahmed and many other famous people left the Jamaat-e-Islami and they started the Tanzeem-e-islamic. They wrote a resolution which later became the main mission statement of the Tanzeem-e-islami. Dr Israr Ahmed wanted to bring back the true teaching of the Quran. He said that his Goal and his Group’s Goal was just to improve society in the real ways with the aim of creating a true Islamic State.

When Dr Israr Become Famous

Dr Israr Ahmed and His Group Tanzeem-e-islami were not very famous before 1981. But in 1981 Pakistani President Zia-ul-Haq who wanted to make Pakistan more Islamic asked the PTV to give Dr Israr Ahmed a weekly program. This shows the first show where an Islamic scholar directly spoke to the people on TV. Dr Israr’s influence helped change the PTV at that time. Women on TV stopped wearing Western clothes and started wearing hijab. Later when parts of his program were cut where he said cricket matches should not be shown on TV because he stopped appearing on TV. But then he had already become very popular in Pakistan.

Death of Dr Israr Ahmed

Dr Israr Ahmed died of a heart Attack at his home in Lahore on the morning of 14 April 2010. He was 77 years old. Dr Israr Ahmed left his position as the leader of the Tanzeem-e-Islami in October 2002 because he was very sick. He chose his son Hafiz Akif Saeed as the new leader of the Tanzeem. All members of the group promised to follow him.

In the End, Dr Israr Ahmed was a very great scholar and a very influencing personality of Pakistan. He did a lot in improving society and spread the true message of the Quran.His group is doing work in the different cities of Pakistan where they are teaching the Quran to the people.
