Early Life and Education
Javed Ahmed Ghamidi was born on 7 April 1952 in a village Jiwan Shah in Punjab, Pakistan. Javed Ahmad Ghamidi grew up in a Sufi family and he has two older sisters. He studied both modern and Islamic subjects and he finished school at Islamia High School, Pakpattan and learned Arabic, Persian and the Quran from a teacher Nur Ahmad. Javed Ahmad Ghamidi moved to Lahore in 1967 where he still lives today. At first he liked literature and philosophy more.
