Dhul-Qarnayn was a virtuous ruler who travelled from East to West, helping the people in distress. During his journey, he encountered the people who were suffering from Gog and Majoj. He built a giant wall to keep them away till the end times. It is stated in verse 98 of Surah Al-Kahf as follows: They said: 'O Dhu'l-Qarnain, Gog and Magog are oppressing the land. May we pay you some tribute so that you could build a rampart between us and them?" They keep on trying to break that wall, but it keeps rebuilding. Muslims believe that reading Surah Al Kahf helps in rebuilding that wall. One day, they will inevitably break that wall and cause destruction.
